These are the cats who live here permanently, many are special needs so cannot be rehomed. They are given sanctuary at GCH.
BENNY
Two-strokes Benny
Benny is frightened of people and other cats. He is not a social member of GCH but is very happy in himself. Be careful when stroking, ha can swipe! He loves his food.
BODHI
Squish!
Bodhi is our laziest cat. He loves to loll about doing Bodhi yoga! He is June's own Persian also a therapy cat helping those in need due to his wonderful calm nature.
BUDDY
Loves his treats!
King of the Mafia, you will be greeted by Buddy who is not a rescue but June's own cat. Please give Dreamies he loves them and will beg for one!
CHARLEY
Mellowing with Age
Charley is a 9 year Maine Coone cross, surrendered due to uncertain temperament. Handsome yes, tetchy sometimes but a gorgeous boy who likes things on his terms!
ELLIE MAY
Mafia Leader
Ellie May arrived at 2 weeks old in the summer of 2018. She was bottle fed but became very ill with Calici virus at 6 weeks. She survived and today rules the Mafia. Our most independent girl!
LADY GABRIELLE
Little Minx
Sister to Gracie, Gabby is the naughty sister. Always up to mischief but also likes her daily cuddles!
PRINCESS GRACE
Miss Disgrace
Gracie is a rescue after she became sick with her breeder. Gracie had Coronavirus but is now a happy little lady who takes everything in her stride, and loves an adventure!
LILY
Black Beauty
Lily was surrendered after suffering many epileptic fits. Using alternative medication we gradually reduced her fits and today she is off meds and fit free. Indoor cat very popular with visitors
LIZZIE
Gorgeous girl!
Three legged cat who was deliberately thrown from a window. A huge favourite with visitors, she loves nothing more than a stroke and a shoulder surf.
PRINCE LOUIS
Big floof!
Louis is good friends with Bodhi. They sit around looking gorgeous together! June's own Persian, he spends a lot of time outside picking up leaves in his tail!
MARTY
Alpha Male
Marty is an oriental cross Champagne ginger cat, he is very bossy!! Gorgeous looking but can be grumpy so watch out!
MILLIE
Scaredy-cat!
Millie was a rescue who arrived with coronavirus. She is terrified of the outside and rarely goes downstairs. She is now clear of coronavirus and is known as queen of the landing.
SALZI
Timid Boy
Salzi was originally a street cat who found a lovely owner called Jack. Due to his job which took him all around the country, Jack surrendered Salzi to GCH. He was a shy cat and it was felt tht he would be better off staying here.
SHILOH
The Gatekeeper
Shiloh was kicked out by his owner at age six months and spent the next six living rough. On arrival he was petrified of everyone and everything. Six months hard work changed this cat into a loving and special cat. He is a Mafia leader and keeps watch on the front drive.
SYMON
The Inspector
Symon has lived at GCH for five years. Known as inspector Symon for his habit of being nosy! He came in with a badly shattered leg which took six months and a lot of vet bills to heal.
TAMMY
Born at the rescue
Tammy was born to a rescue cat surrendered. She was the last kitten left in the litter and June's husband fell in love with her. She's a real beauty.
TAZZ
Tazz is 9 and a a total mummy's boy and June has had him since he was a kitten. He struggles with pillow foot and has to take a lot of medication, but he loves a fuss!
ZIGGY
June's own cat
Older boy Ziggy. He has lived here since he was a kitten. He acts as Uncle to the new arrivals. he also loves a fuss.
PITTER PATTER
A mini tornado!
Pitter Patter is the youngest member of the Mafia. He was hand raised by June from 6 days old. Found in a compost heap abandoned by his mother. He is known for his famous extra toes and crazy nature. He is also Symon's Deputy Inspector.
RASPUTIN
Lord of the manor!
Rasputin is our newest permanent resident, who has integrated very well and knows how to keep the grumpier cats in their place! He loves to sleep on the sofa!
