ADOPTION CRITERIA

Updated 1st February 24

Please make sure you fulfil the criteria for adoption before applying for an online home check.

Rescue policy is no main roads. If you live on or near a busy road we will not approve your application. This may seem harsh but too many cats are in RTAs we need to minimise any risk. We may consider you for an indoor cat if you are serious about keeping the cat indoors.

No dogs unless we list a cat as coming from a dog household, this is to protect your dog as well as the rescue cat.

No constrictor or venomous snakes or spiders.

We have an age limit for adopting, no infants under 12 months. There is an  upper age limit of 80 for an adult cat. We do not home small kittens to elderly people because of the risk to the people themselves and the fact the kitten may be left homeless when people pass. We do look at every case on it's own merit and sometimes can be more flexible depending on each situation.

You need to live within 75 miles of our rescue in Worcester Park, Surrey to be able to adopt a cat or kitten from us. Some cats travel well and some don't but as a general rule we don't want cats to travel too far for their own welfare, so more local adoptions are preferred. We will look at travel time as well as distance.

Adoption fee: £150

Kitten: includes vaccinations, health check, worm and flea treatments.

Junior/ Adult cat: includes microchipping, neutering, health check, worm and flea treatments.
